'Home' was an experimental project that began as a way to re-define the definition of the term 'drawing'. I ended up using negative space to draw every home I've previously lived in by embroidering everything surrounding it. I originally looked at houses because of their recognisable shape, but the development became it's own concept. Was my 'home' the building I lived in, or the area surrounding it and the memories I've developed from living on that road, town or county? Who would I be now, if I hadn't lived here- was it this place that shaped who I am? By taking something I consider important to me out of the image, I began to question why.
